Grandmaster Arquilla at the Iron Dragon Dojo

Grandmaster Ray Arquilla started training in martial arts in 1965 under the Tracy Kenpo System. He earned his 1st Black Shodan on January 21, 1972. He was awarded Judan 10th degree Master status in 1992 and has held this rank for the last 17 years.. He holds the rank of "#3 Master" in the art of Kosho-Shorei Kenpo from the founder of all Kenpo Karate, the late Great Grandmaster James Mitose.

Grandmaster Arquilla is the Head Master of the Iron Dragon Kosho Shorei Kenpo System.The Iron Dragon system teachings include the original, unchanged, complete Tracy Kenpo system, Northern Kung Fu, Southern Hung Gar Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Tang So Do, Chinese and Japanese Weapons as well as the study of Kosho-Shorei (Mitose). The system also includes many unique "Iron Dragon" techniques and forms created by Grand Master Arquilla. During 2004 to 2007 Grand Master Arquilla filmed the entire Dragon Form Curriculum of 280 Forms and Katas from the five systems he has studied over the last 42 years. 

Grandmaster Arquilla has been teaching at his current Roseville location for over 18 years.  Grandmaster Arquilla has been in training with law enforcement for over 40 years. He was employed with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations for over 25 years. As an Academy Instructor, he served as the Head Senior Master Trainer for the State of California for 12 years and was the most certified Senior Tactical Trainer in California Corrections System.

During his career, Grand Master Arquilla competed in over 40 California Police, Fire and Correctional Martial Art, Olympic, Tournament Games and was awarded over 50 fighting, and form competion titles. He is retired now and trains, and teaches at his Iron Dragon Dojo six days a week in Roseville, California
